THE IMPORTANCE OF CAKE SMASH PHOTOS

A cake smash photoshoot for a baby's first birthday is a playful and joyous way to capture adorable and candid moments. It celebrates the significant milestone, allowing the baby to interact with a birthday cake in a lighthearted setting, creating lasting memories of exuberance and growth.

Do you provide the OUTFITS FOR BABY?

I do have a child closet that you can borrow outfits for that can be seen here. Client must bring the outfit baby will wear to smash the cake. 

Do i NEED TO BRING THE CAKE?

Cake is not provided by me. I suggest a small personal cake for baby preferably 6-8 inches and vanilla bread and vanilla icing. Please no chocolate or red icing. Make sure that the cake compliments baby’s outfit and the backdrop you choose.

(Please practice with baby a few days before with a cupcake and encourage baby to eat it and get messy so you know more or less how baby will react day of shoot.)

wHEN TO SCHEDULE?

It’s best to schedule your shoot when baby is 11 months old and not yet walking. It is harder when they are walking because many babies will walk out of the set. It is also a two week turn around so please schedule in advance if you will be needing the images for a birthday date or a birthday party.
